Xena on her trusty horse Argo. This was the second drawing of Xena I ever did (I've done quite a few)....about....5 years ago or so...

its amazing as usual. the tones and shodows make it look like it could have been a black and white photo.

Just...stunning. I could only hope that someday I'll have the ability and the patience to draw like that. I wish I could see it up close! The range in the shading is really top notch!
kewl!

The best way to get even with one's enemies is to outlive them. Because we are reasonable and above such petty concerns as vengeance, we are the leaders among our kind. Our colleagues do little to support the Camarilla, so we must bear the burden alone.
Nice details and shading!

Stunning. So much like a photgraph. i love how you capture Lucy's eyes, and her spirit as well as that of her character Xena.
Oh my god, that is absolutely amazing. The way you could make her boot and saddle look like real leather is increadible. The shading on the horse's face, and the highlighting on its body really, really makes the picture. The folds and wrinkles of the horse's muzzle especially makes it appear lifelike. The Argo's tail almost looks like you forgot about it... perhaps this was intended, though? It's not certain to me, though. I find it slightly distracting from the picture... perhaps if you added more strands/shading to the tail, it would deter that?

What specific graphites/papers did you use to create this piece? :)

Oh yes, and favourite. ^_^
Nice shading! I really love the detail.
