Update: 7-23-04
So I wasn't quite happy with the previous version. It wasn't dynamic enough......not enough movement or light and it seemed a little messy. I'm quite happy with the revised version :D Hope you enjoy!!

Surround me like the currents of the deep
Where there is brilliance in the darkest hue
And moment linger
for as long as you have breath,
Drain these overflowing wells of my desire
and quench the thirst I cannot seem to fill.

Daily Deviation

Given 2004-07-24

Thirst by *rebekahlynn

Exquisite design and rendering. The intertwining of smoothly scaled bodies and gossamerlike fins, in that ocean light, almost make this deviation come alive, with inferences of both movement and lasciviousness.

The subjects dolphin-like, yet also undulating with an almost serpentine apearance, this piece transcends the almost conventional Disney-esque depiction of ..."Mer-people", yet still manages to invokes a sense of familiarity through its parallels with human passion. (Suggested by ~elvyrus and Featured by `jnc)

Absolutely visually stunning. The detail around the heads is especially awesome. Only bad part is the banding done by the jpg compression--not your fault though!

Ah! The detail, the detail, I love this one, there is so much intensity about this that I could get lost in the picture itself...Is that weird? :XD:
